Welcoming a Miracle
This newborn session was full of lots and lots of snuggling, snoozing, and anticipatory parents. Mr. Kingston joined the world roughly 2 months before his March 1st due date. Mom and dad spent time with their little prince in the nearby NICU in Jacksonville FL. At only ten weeks new, chunky Kingston slept almost the entire time to the smoothest playlist. With older newborns they tend to be more alert and ready to party. Dad sensed it and knew the trick and it immediately worked. A sprinkle of jazz, rhythm and blue and a couple ounces of liquid gold (breast milk) seemed to have done the trick best. I always try to focus on the kinds of pictures I’d want of my own baby- a few details of tiny feet, lips, newborn wrinkles, baby rolls, and peachfuzz, but mostly images that make me remember what it felt like to hold him when he was so small. I really hope these photos bring back those feelings for Kim and Jay as their first baby grows into a little boy.
