I know....I know! It's about time right?! Granted there is an ABOUT section on the site, but that's kinda formal-ish. So here is the uncut real me before we actually meet.
My name is Theresa!! Some people call me Reese, a nickname I picked up in college. Part of the reason is because I constantly had Reese's in my hands. This post was a long time in the making partly because I'm pretty private about my personal life. I guess that stems from being part of a large family where privacy is a scarcity. I have 6 siblings and I am the 2nd oldest. Yeah! Yup! You get it now. We all have roles in our family, I just happen to be the family clown. I love laughing, making people laugh and seeing genuine joy in people's eyes. It brings me so much happiness. This is the Theresa that my clients get a chance to meet.
I was born and raised in New York City. That is where I lived until I turned 21. I cant begin to tell you all that NYC has to offer, but I've done a lot in a short 21 years. Some of my favorite moments were vocally performing at Carnegie Hall, modeling catalogue and going to Broadway plays. I guess this is when I grew to love performing arts.
I genuinely enjoy spending time singing around the house and in my car, watching YouTube videos, Bob's Burgers, Romance Films and playing the Sims 4 (3, 2 and the original). Of course there is a lot more to get into, but why bore you lol. I seriously may be the only person in the world more than happy to have salad all day, everyday. It's a very weird obsession! I have a sweet tooth as well, but nothing compared to my husband. That is inhumane!
I attended LIU Brooklyn Campus where I studied Business Management with a minor in Finance (and in a way I get to use that knowledge). I DID NOT GO TO SCHOOL FOR PHOTOGRAPHY AT ALL! It's actually a quite selfish reason I got into photography lol but I'll save that story for when we meet.
I met my husband, Isaac, in our Senior Year of High School. Being the outgoing person that I am, I introduced myself and continued to pursue a genuine relationship with him. He was clear that after we graduated from HS he would be heading to the military, which took him to Southeast Georgia. We finally started dating in 2014 after being friends for 3 years. We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on Sept. 29th 2019. I gave birth to our little miracle baby Sept. 4th and he just turned 4. You might even meet him during your session. He loves to ask to see the babies.
I like to think that I am very down to earth. I like to keep it real with my clients. My wish is for you to be comfortable around me enough to be yourself. I'm in charge of capturing you in your truest essence and to actually do that I want you to be relaxed around me.
I'm looking forward to meeting you!
